However legislative remedies, like impeachment , will not work with a GOP controlled congress. We are no longer a functioning democracy as well.

As an American concerned about our new fascist government and lack of privacy laws the fact that Mastodon, and others I use like Mullvad , reside in nations with more effective privacy laws is a very strong appeal to me.
