Addendum: but never forget the cost. This isn't a movie. Ukrainians pay for this daily with their lives. We must go all in helping Ukraine. They are so brave because they have to be. And let us be brave for them, not least because if #Ukraine loses we're next

And there is the #Starlink situation. Starlink cut off Ukraine, impacting their #drone operations. The #US govt said #Musk did it, Musk said the US govt did it. The blame game is a diversion, these plutocrat assholes work together

(Apparently Starlink is restored now)

The drama is that Trump is being hammered by #diesel prices due to his stupid war with #Iran. So he setup a deal with #Putin for some diesel. #Meloni is right wing but on the outs with #Trump: "outcome of this move is questionable, while the risks are clear: legitimizing #Moscow while its bombs continue to fall on Ukrainian cities, generating new revenue to finance the #war, and implicitly weakening the leverage of #sanctions"

Piers Morgan sucks but this is an important clip with #Zelensky

"We are losing a strong partner"

Of course we have all known this for some time now

But the diplomatic way is to keep the drama under wraps and keep a facade of the cheerful smile. In the hopes that private dialogue might reverse things

Therefore, when this is said openly, a public break, that means the calculus has shifted that this is an irredeemable situation

I don't know why, but it all reminds me of this image

There's too much despondency and defeatism in the world. It's so fucking weak. Those who intend malice depend upon us just rolling over

Don't. All of their nasty games, just brush it off

Be like Ukraine:

Fight, you damn motherfuckers

We need to fight

Fight, always, never give up, never give in

The immediate fallout is that Ukraine is fucking fed up:

@meltedcheese

I find it rather funny we spend our time complaining about #AI #datacenters and #fossilFuel derived #climateChange, and #Ukraine is out there blowing up #oilRefineries and AI datacenters

Supporting Ukraine is a simple matter of understanding the principles and the stakes involved

But Ukraine sure makes a compelling argument for support on rather brutally direct terms rather than mere rhetoric

@CStamp @meltedcheese

There is zero doubt that bombing oil refineries and oil tankers has an environmental toll

It's just that cost of their destruction is less than the cost of their continued operation

#Zelensky: "When our strikes reached #Yandex’s #datacenters, it suddenly became a little easier to breathe on many #socialMedia platforms. A lot of people noticed it. There was less hate, less division, and fewer provocations. Because there were fewer #bots. It’s pretty clear where those bots were"

Have you ever apologized in your life?

No you have not

With the days shortening and cooling in the northern hemisphere the #wildlife is busy preparing for the coming lean months of scarce food

But these two #deer seem to have made some sort of evolutionary leap in cognitive planning skills

Or they are evolving into snails

I'm not sure

This is called the #pumpfoil. She is #pumpfoiling

You pump up and down with your legs and that motion alone is all that is necessary to translate via a hydrofoil under the water surface (like a wing) to give you lift and forward motion

You need good balance, endurance, and if you stop pumping you lose lift and sink rapidly

@Jamoteusz

But... who gives a shit. If you're dealing with a bigot, fuck them. End of discussion

@Jamoteusz

What i dislike about that is that it shifts responsibility. We can't be responsible for educating bigots. Rising or falling depending upon how bigoted someone is should be enough lesson and personal motivation. It's not hard. It's not like culture and society isn't screaming the lesson constantly. So some will learn, some won't. If some won't: oh well

Again, why do we have the job of doing someone else's fundamental social responsibility for them. It's a fool's errand.

Nice method
