I think she has the best ideas on things we can do today, and my current goal is figuring out long-term governance of the project so we can have a more scalable answer to the question "How do we get equity, influence, and decision making power into the hands of our users?"

I talk a little bit about it here but the short answer is whatever we haven’t spent is just sitting in the bank.
I need to crunch numbers for November and December before I can give exact details.
In January we break hachyderm out into an independent funding model. I’ll probably end up matching however much money we have as our initial bootstrapping fund.

Okay, so looks like the instance I'm on hasn't been handling misuse well and is going to get defederated from some other servers. Soooo, what instance do y'all think I should move to? And is there any history/experience of anyone with this size a network migrating instances that I could learn from?

We have removed our suspension of `x0f.org` and will begin federating with the instance immediately. We believe this instance was added to our suspension list earlier this year, and we cannot find any records of a reason for having this instance suspended.
