James Trickle uP (opalmirror@hachyderm.io)'s status on Tuesday, 06-Dec-2022 16:08:09 JST James Trickle uP @nova I've used a dozen or more of this model of drives in embedded Linux applications (computer vision, storing bursts of images) and none have failed yet, with something on the order of a terabyte worth of images, so that's good. Nothing close to the stated life, though it's enough to say they are acting like reliable devices.

Mirko Velic (mvelic@hachyderm.io)'s status on Tuesday, 06-Dec-2022 16:12:02 JST Mirko Velic @nova These are great, super reliable, had them running in some ESX machines at work for a good few years (the 860 version anyway) :D Was a bit concerned those old Dell PERC controllers didn't support SSD TRIM but it hasn't presented any issues.

AudioCraZ (audiocraz@hachyderm.io)'s status on Wednesday, 07-Dec-2022 05:38:50 JST AudioCraZ @nova @pearofdoom I have around 30 Samsung drives that have been purchased for systems over the past 5 years. So far 1 failure that Samsung replaced. They tend to be good quality drives. Far more reliable than Kingston or WD in from what I have seen.
