Ungh. I just realized that Netflix is taking down Everything Everywhere All At Once this month.

This makes me sad because the movie is important to me. It was released shortly after my mother died and watching it was a Whole Emotion. 📺 🕯️

In round ♾️ of "I miss Dark Sky", today we have record / nearly record heat here in Seattle. My car has registered 95ºF / 35º C three days in a row now. Apparently supposed to "cool" to a whopping 88ºF / 31ºC by the weekend 🫠

@thomasfuchs I hear ya. I remember we replaced the IIGS around ~2000, with it's whole 9 GB HDD. "It'll last forever."

I know this post may date more than a fair few of us, but what was your first computer? (This includes family computers, for those to whom this applies.)

Mine was an Apple IIGS that was bought before I was born. Was reminded of that sweet old school look-and-feel by an account that's tinkering with one on oldbytes.space .

The person I cherished more than any other, @nova , died unexpectedly late Wednesday in a climbing accident.

I have no words, only despair. The light in my soul is gone.

- Moderators: includes both user reports, handling GitHub issues ("customer support"-esque), and docs / Technical Writing
- Infrastructure: running and maintaining the servers and systems that keep Hachyderm alive :)

@nova @arjay Chiming in here as well: one of the things that impacts our decisions is how many volunteers are available. It won't help users, for example, if we don't have enough people on hand to answer questions / resolve issues, even if/when we open it up. (Note: ... we do have the Call for Volunteers form open, haha, for scaling in general and not specifically for this).
