@MikeFromLFE@clacke@dgar I imagine one would get used to walking on these steps, but the handful of times I’ve done it it’s always been super awkward with the ramp cutting through repeatedly and making the steps irregular. At least it looks cool I guess! lol
@RoseFlint@Mrfunkedude oh, I think Cholula and Tapatio are the only ones you’d usually see in a Mexican restaurant, this was just the first photo I found that had the two in the same picture!
@RoseFlint@Mrfunkedude when I lived in Southern California, they always had one of the two (or both), and to this day I still confuse them for each other in my head.
@That_One_Guy@Mrfunkedude I’m not a night photographer, but my response to this question is always to remember that Ansel Adams heavily “photoshopped” his photos with analog filters and development techniques, and he’s considered one of the greatest landscape photographers of all time. I think the same thing goes for all types of photography—used skillfully, post-processing enhances the quality of a photo.
@BrentToderian the best advice I’ve ever gotten about how to write a good #AltText is “pretend you’re describing the image to a friend over the phone.”
Don’t make “brief” your goal. Make your goal to communicate the same information, via text, that the image is communicating. If the image is meant to evoke a feeling, describe that feeling. If certain details are important to painting a picture or understanding the image, describe them. If the details are secondary, feel free to leave them out
@nova I’m signed out, but still check in on certain people from time to time. Mostly just favorite artists that are still active there. I’ve been trying to use https://nitter.net whenever possible.
@nova just being able to search my own history would be really useful. I spent about 10 minutes last night trying to find an old post that I was pretty sure I had favorited, and finally gave up.
@sao@the_curiostech@amysighs@oacgnol@nova That's a good question, and one I've wondered about myself. Nova can speak more directly to that, but judging by what I've seen of her and the team, I'm sure however she's handling it right now is equitable. I'd imagine that most if not all of the funds are just going to infrastructure right now. Just my guess though!
