Well I found out I have Lyme Disease an hour ago. Just what I wanted for summer. Made it almost 50 years of outdoor living avoiding it to get struck down now.

Democrats are really great at one thing, caving in on their own demands. Hopefully everyone can afford that projected 30% increase in health insurance next year.

Our family is personally discussing not having health insurance for a year or two. I currently pay $12k a year for a family of 3, at 30% more I don't see any value in it. It's not great coverage for what it costs now. We could remodel our kitchen and bath over two years with that money.

My wife has a case today that took me back in time to my darker days. A long time ago I got a call from my mom telling me I needed to call the sheriff, he's looking for me. She flat out refused to tell them where I was. When informed she could be in trouble for obstruction she laughed, said you have my address and asked when they'd be by. The deputy informed me later that my mom was one of the most difficult people he'd dealt with. He'd had hardened criminals give up info easier than her.

I forgot to take a picture of the bee yard, it's extremely muggy here and I was rushing to get done. So I used the camera to take a still image. My buddy let me hook it up as well as install a full apiary, he's more my brother than friend. There's nothing but open fields and forests down there. Looking forward to the coming years without the monthly pesticide incidents...

It looks funny because I'm currently combining two hives together.

I had to rescue a baby rabbit trapped in our garden fence. Hopefully the little guy gets back to his group. I put him within sight of 6 other rabbits. It was hard convincing Ellie not to touch it but human scent would mark it so I used beekeeping gloves that smell like everything but humans.

The massive bee deaths have finally stopped! I'll have to wait and see if there's any long term effects or if the foragers were sprayed and died without too much contamination of the hive. I've been seeing orientation flights all day, even with the rain. Tomorrow I'm going in to reorganize the colony to make it easier to maintain a good cluster around the brood in one box and store their supplies in the other. Maybe they'll pull through.

If a simple accident results in a $58,000 repair bill on a car value at $86,000 how are people getting insurance on these Cybertrucks? The values seem to go down every month too. I'm not talking about the celebrities but the more normal, everyday people.

It's also shortsighted to buy a vehicle only one place can repair. A place with a 6+ month wait to even get repairs started.

Question for the beekeepers out there. I'm starting a hive at the end of March and one in early April. There isn't a heavy pollen or nectar flow in my area yet. We are planning supplemental feeding starting out but I'm also thinking of adding a pollen substitute to encourage brood rearing. The supplements/feeding will stop once things are in bloom here. I've found these three, does anyone have any experience with them?

Apple has 8 exabytes (8 million terabytes), of user data, backups, and iCloud storage and it's growing on Google's servers.

This is just a reminder for those trying to escape Google completely. It's nearly impossible.

I found my wife a replacement for Adobe Acrobat Professional that will save her an infinite amount of money. As an attorney, she edits PDF files all day, and Adobe has been the only one with the right tool set. They are charging $25 a month. The new software, Wondershare PDF, has a perpetual license for $150, so we're giving Adobe the middle finger.

My New Year resolution might be getting rid of as many subscriptions as I can.

I'll never understand why some politicians insist on holding out until they die. McConnell keeps having "episodes" yet plans to stick it out. Diane Feinstein wasn't there in the end, just rolled out under a blanket. Instead of retiring and spending the remaining time with their families, they'd rather hold onto whatever power they have accumulated as long as they can. Not for the people, only for themselves.

I'm trying to avoid worrying about the election, but it's not really working.

I had to pick up a whole bag after work to calm my nerves. The shop kids were on edge too. Most are under 30 and I encouraged them to vote on my way out.
