     Dunno about that. My in-laws are Mexican immigrants (making my partner Mexican-American - even if he is a soulless ginger) and both of those sauces are frequently found around everyone's houses - including ours.

     Personally, I'm a Tobasco and Crystal fan.

     @JohnOtto it's a sweeter hot sauce then Tapatio. It's a hot sauce for people who don't like heat.

     You see it in restaurants but rarely on taco trucks or Mexican homes. At least that was my experience growing up in a heavy Mexican populated area of California.

     But you know, your mileage may very.

     @marq if you like a sweeter, less spicy hot sauce, sure.

     Around here, where there are a TON of Mexican restaurants you'll see Tapatio in most, and Chalula next to it in more gentrified areas.

     However if you go into a place that is in a mostly white area, you'll only see Chalula on the table and you'll have to ask for the Tapatio.

     @RoseFlint @Mrfunkedude oh, I think Cholula and Tapatio are the only ones you’d usually see in a Mexican restaurant, this was just the first photo I found that had the two in the same picture!

     @Timdmackey @Mrfunkedude thanks for the picture. I've never seen most of these. Where I'm at is 52.6% Hispanic. It's strange I haven't. Guess I'm not frequenting the right restaurants.
