About time! These allegations should've been properly examined by a criminal court, 50 years ago!
We, the #sane people, use #language for #communication. This seems pretty 'normal' to me. 😀
So why do NTs insist on using language for #combative purposes? 🤔😥 To them, a question is a #challenge, not a request for #information...? 🙄😤
🤷♂️
@hellomiakoda I'm not sure how old you are, but my oldest recurring memory is from the end of 1959, when I was 4. 😐
No-one ever mentions how, after yet-another😱😤 seriously-distressing (autistic) #social failure, autists relive the #experience — the WHOLE experience: #emotion, #trauma & all — #forever. Yes, for #life. They never go away.
Low life expectancy...? 🤔🤔🤔
"Born at the height of the Holocaust, I know the wickedness & cruelty meted out to Jews. I cannot bear to think that my people are doing the same thing to another nation. … My heart is broken. ...Hitler won. He changed us, & made us like him."

My first thought is that the people who come up with these ideas and theories are not #autistic. They don't know that recognising #autism (as an NT #observer) from the *outside* is VERY DIFFERENT from being #autistic, and *living* it from the inside! 😤 🙄
We don't need autism decomposed into smaller things, we need to go the other way, and make the #connections with #human #neurodiversity, in all its glory! 👍 😀
Oh, and we don't need treating or curing, thank you! 🙄
As others have mentioned, it's funny how we all talked and retweeted posts about #Greta, but when she started supporting #peace in the Middle East? Things went very quiet.
Let's change that? Spread this around.

@aral Sorry, I think I had problems untangling your words.
But the equation of discrimination against Jews (always wrong) with criticising the political nation-state of Israel ... just makes me Very Angry. One is (rightly) a crime, the other is legitimate political comment.
But the awful "a-s" word combines the two as though they are the same thing. This means that, if I criticise Israel, they say "a-s!", and tar me with the brush of Holocaust support, or something equally vile. 😭
@aral I would never do such a thing. Please read carefully what was written.
I complained of the 'equation' between the Holocaust and criticism of the political nation-state of Israel. There is no such equation. 😢
I have total respect for Jews, Moslems, Christians, and *ALL* faiths. ☯
And I oppose all extremists. 👍
@aral Israel critics are sometimes also pursued here, on Mastodon, by extremists of the opposite opinion. They will report your post, and seek to tarnish you with the awful lie that is "anti-Semitic". On one side, there is the nation-state of Israel, and on the other, the Holocaust. By accusing you of criticising Israel, they also seek to call you a Holocaust supporter or denier, or one of those terrible perverts who think there's *anything* OK about the Holocaust. 😭 😱
We are said to "struggle to understand neurotypical social norms". Maybe so. But I very often understand these so-called "norms", and reject them. I don't "miss" them, I refuse to participate: it's distasteful & it makes me feel dirty, so I don't.
You?

Yes, I think many of us agree that our condition is not a disease to be cured, but only a difference. And besides, there is no 'cure'. The only way to stop autists from being born is eugenics, and I hope everyone knows how wrong and undesirable eugenics is...
The fact is that all 'therapies' offered to autists or their guardians are not intended to benefit *us*. They are intended to make us more convenient, and less disturbing, for NTs. 😐
@miaoue @cynaq @actuallyautistic
I think that perhaps monotropism is the opposite of 'multitasking'? And we now know that (all) humans are pretty bad at multitasking, so maybe it's a measure of how much more rational #autists are? 😃
@feditips @TammyGentzel That's exactly what I wanted to do. Thanks for sorting it for me! 😍
@feditips @TammyGentzel Thanks for taking the trouble to reply. Sadly that only allows me to add a new column searching a hashtag.
I really wanted to open a new column showing another *user* account. It seems that can't be done.
Is there a way, on #Mastodon, to add new columns to the multi-column display?
Can anyone help with this?
@anarchopunk_girl That's good, right?
@grammaticus @Sci_Fi_FanGirl @robrecht @theautisticcoach @actuallyautistic
Sadly, it isn't a "(mis)interpretation" — #masking is speaking like an NT, which involves dishonesty at all levels. It *is* lying, a lot of the time.
@allenstenhaus @EverBeyondReach @theautisticcoach @actuallyautistic
But, but... 😟
**I** know when I'm lying! And I don't like the feeling(s) it gives me! So I won't and don't do it. 👍
