@pa @NPR @actuallyautistic some autistic persons would be glad to be freed from some manifestations of their autism, independantly from any ableist comments of the society around. These persons deserve as much care and attention as the autistic people who don't have such needs.
Fighting for autism representation and acceptance is also fighting for the fulfilling of every autistic people's needs. Yes, even if it's a cure for some autistic manifestations.

Non mais à un moment faut appeler un chat un chat et nommer l'alcool, le tabac, le cannabis...pour ce qu'ils sont : des drogues addictogènes qui peuvent te faire encourir des complications de santé évitables, voire le décès.
Y a une différence entre une "société aseptisée" (qui n'arrivera jamais, cf la Prohibition aux US, un échec) et une société qui au mieux ne fait pas de prévention, au pire laisse dire que fumer ou boire c'est marrant et pas grave.

C'est qu'en plus de faire du fric sur la ruine de la santé des gens (sans vrmt les informer), la société entretient le mal-être qui pousse à la consommation.

It's like, idk, I'm white so yes, I know that I'm favoured compared to non-white ppl, but how would I have a full understanding of the difficulties of non-white ppl if nobody take the time to explain?

No, to be a good leftist, you accept to be teached by others (disabled, non-white, whatever minority) and then you try your best to help or at least not to be an ennemy.

Sinon on peut décider de rejeter tout et n'importe quoi juste parce que et là ça va devenir un poil problématique de faire société

Yes, I know the difference between the commonly accepted meaning of a word and its medical meaning, the confusion it can generate and the necessity to clarify what are we talking about. That's precisely why I won't change a word in my previous toot.

@axnxcamr @sal @ajlanes @goatsarah indeed, narcisists are persons but if you're not a person / professional trained to deal with them to help, the best remains to run away from these persons for your own safety.
The fact that narcisists are at first victims of abuse or other threats doesn't justify to put yourself in danger trying to help them. That's precisely the aim of NPD: become unreachable.

And in general, being a victim yourself doesn't justify to victimize others, indeed.
