Is there a way, on #Mastodon, to add new columns to the multi-column display?
Can anyone help with this?

Hey Pattern, yes you can do this!
Click on the slider icon in the top right of a column and select "pin".
If you need more info about the multicolumn mode have a look here: https://fedi.tips/how-to-activate-mastodons-tweetdeck-style-advanced-web-interface/
@PatternChaser @feditips might be able to help.
You can pin a particular user as a new column if you use Mastodon's Lists feature to create a list with just that user on it, then pin the list as a new column.
More info about using Lists here:
https://fedi.tips/how-to-use-the-lists-feature-on-mastodon/
Once you've got the list set up with just that account on it, open the list and click the top right slider icon, then select "pin".
(To access Lists on the advanced interface, click the ☰ on the left column, then "Lists" on the right column.)
@feditips @TammyGentzel Thanks for taking the trouble to reply. Sadly that only allows me to add a new column searching a hashtag.
I really wanted to open a new column showing another *user* account. It seems that can't be done.
Thanks for asking the question, I've added the instructions to the website in case other people want to know too 👍
@feditips @TammyGentzel That's exactly what I wanted to do. Thanks for sorting it for me! 😍
