@jones_@matz poi rimane il fatto che nella maggior parte delle parlate locali la differenza aperto/chiuso è sostanzialmente svanita, per cui alla fine anche un po' chissene ;-)
I hope that at least a fraction of the wave joining the PixelFed flagship is willing to shell out some dough because it looks like it's going to get pretty expensive pretty fast
Between this, my prediction of AI training on BS posts getting true sooner than expected (<https://mashable.com/article/bluesky-ai-dataset-using-one-million-user-posts>) and the “we'll stop working on WordPress” post by the very sane, the sanest, Automattic CEO, I feel like it's way past time I added a new chapter to my “Credible threat to the Fediverse” series
«Installing fire exits in Bluesky» is one of those ideas that sounds good in principle, but completely trips over itself in practice. The comparison with the SMB/Samba situation doesn't even hold. Microsoft went to great length to preserve backwards compatibility to support older versions of Windows, so they couldn't just “pull the rug” from under the Samba dev feet easily (and not for lack of trying). BS has all incentives to do that if FOF becomes even moderately successful.
@noxypaws@rysiek they still lost a lot of credibility that will be extremely hard if not impossible to recover. Literally nobody with an ounce of attention in tech (or even outside of it) world have ever actually believed that the changes would have been in the positive sense.
So che è troppo tardi per partecipare all'incombente calendario @ChieseBrutte, ma per la prossima tornata propongo la candidatura della PARROCCHIA DEI SS. APOSTOLI locata in Via Piersanti Mattarella a RIPOSTO (CT).
