Something extraordinary just happened: my 5-year-old recognizes the #Fediverse symbol and just asked me about the bag with its logo on it.

Hearing her say “fediverso” (we speak Italian with each other) was… an indescribable feeling. Pure joy and pride.

Special thanks to @samvie who gave me the @berlinfediday bag with the colorful Fediverse symbol as a present a while back 💖

I had the time of my life last night at the #PubConf2026 afterparty organized by @newsmast. Congrats for your award by the way!

Special thanks to @michael for bringing a giant Connect 4 from the UK - after I told him I loved playing it. Biggest regret: not taking any photos of it, if you have any please share.

I also had the opportunity to talk to the inspiring Rudy from Blacksky and to connect with many Fedi friends. Best time ever! ❤️

Dear Fedi friends,

I'm grateful to see how far I've come, self-hosting-wise. My favorite way of upgrading my #YunoHost installation is in Terminal, using #tmux. It's really empowering for a non-dev like me. Thank you @yunohost and all the Fedi folks offering help and advice.

Now that I'm done with my investigative articles (I HOPE I'm done) I can dive back into #mesh and #reticulum. Having the time of my life learning these things 🥰

Regarding my W Social exposé: it was months in the making and I could have written a LOT more, showing additional examples of technical blunders, but I kept it "brief" at 3500 words 😅

I just refreshed the #WSocial website and it's showing a MAJOR redesign... with a label at the top stating "built on the open AT-protocol."

This is the first time ever they acknowledge this – I know, as I've been visiting their website for MONTHS and also never heard about this in any interviews. So the claims in my exposé stand (the Internet Archive's Wayback Machine would confirm this).

Of note: they changed their URL from wsocial.eu to wsocial.news

Do you remember the surprise announcement of a new social network in Davos this past January? Something that promised to be the "first" European social network?

Its name is #WSocial and it's a fork of #Bluesky. Its founders have ties with European politicians - but there is no official involvement by the EU.

You wouldn't know any of this from media reports because they all rehashed their talking points. So I wrote a post about it, dispelling some myths:

I had 2 Substack newsletters years ago and I simply exported my subscriber list and moved to Ghost. It took a few minutes. Easy peasy. That's why I say there are ABSOLUTELY NO EXCUSES.

No problem for #Substack though! They happily take a 10% cut from all paid subscriptions.

I had been looking for a 4-leaf clover my whole life... and finally found my first last month.

Then I found my second yesterday.

My 5-year-old remarked: "I will find a 5-leaf and a 6-leaf clover." I replied to her: "I don't think they exist, I never heard of them."

Today, in my late grandparents' garden I found a 5-leaf clover. I am simply speechless...
