I went this morning, expecting a line, and was pleasantly surprised to find only two people ahead of me. That may not be true at all polling places. I went at about 8:30, figuring the pre-work crowd would have been and gone, and I might have been correct.
@jeffowski Something similar could be said of many freedoms, such as free speech, which does not (or ought not) allow dangerous speech, incitement of violence, or libel.
In short, as a friend once said, your right to swing your fist ends at the tip of my nose.

New York State wants to entertain false solutions and shift the state in a perilous new direction by exploring nuclear technology.
Decision-makers need to stop diverting resources to false solutions. We need rapid and responsible progress towards renewable solutions such as solar, wind, geothermal, and battery storage.
@ATLeagle@TonyStark I understand trying a minor as an adult for (some) violent crimes, but the decision is being made much too early. There needs to be psychiatric evaluation and other investigation before making that decision.

A bill in Congress, the Supreme Court Tenure Establishment and Retirement Modernization (TERM) Act, would institute term limits of 18 years for Supreme Court justices.
So many wonderful things happen when we have no idea what we're getting into. If we'd known, we might not have done it; but it seemed worth doing so we began.

The reason my primary account is on Mastodon Social is because, at that time, it was the only instance I could find that was in English (despite the admin being in Germany), didn't require an invitation, and had more than about 20 members. I figured it would have staying power.
