@Gargron I bet they couldn't have imagined it in 2016, either. Or in 2021 for that matter.

I hope a lot of ex-Twitter employees check out Mastodon and the Fediverse in general, try hosting a server, and perhaps eventually write new software for other services that could be connected to the Fediverse.

@Gargron I just hope you got a generous donation for making the change.

As for me, I prefer to toot my own horn on Mastodon rather than being a twit for a multi-billionaire who thinks free speech can be bought.

@VPHRAntifa@mas.to Welcome! There are some things on Mastodon that work differently than other social media sites, but you'll get the hang of it soon enough.

Be sure to post (and pin) an #introduction post--with hashtag, and you can pin more than one post here--so that people can find you. Indeed, intros are one of the times that cramming hashtags (your interests etc.) is considered totally appropriate. And be sure to search hashtags to find people to follow.
