@iamdavidobrien don't apologise. Your effort is appreciated. I wasn't specific enough about the advice I am looking for.

@iamdavidobrien from experience, I'm not convinced by Sustrans 'routes'. They go directly from hardly passable tracks along the side of fields to A roads full of traffic, all called NCN1.

@iamdavidobrien I've already done everything from John o Groats to the border, except for this last wee bit. I've heard the Coast Road is horrible with traffic, and I've already done the bit from Dundee to Loch Leven. I'm looking for reccomend routes from cyclists who have done them. I know about maps.

@JackTheCat maybe one for a different day. I need tarmac. Just don't want to share it with arctics. 🤣

@thecommongreen my household is 100% eligible to claim disability benefits. Over the years, we have started the process twice and given up. I'm fit and healthy and spend my working life using the usual tech. I also know my way around application forms of one kind and another, but the benefits system has us beat. As a result, my partner claims nothing he is entitled to, and we just 'manage' on what I earn. I can't even imagine what a "crack down" might look like. #LabourFail

How do you block instances? I don't want to see mastodon.social. it seems to be a lot of Americans who think merica is the world, that everyone lives in tech, and who think their version of society is all of society. I don't want to interact with people who think it's their job to police the thinking of the world. despite the fact that most of that world thinks their society is bonkers. Sorry, mild-mannered Americans. It's them, not you. Maybe it's me, but if it is, block and move on. Ta.

@aegir ahh, these are the sexy pishy knickers, not the old lady ones. The story they're trying to sell has flaws.

@aegir there are so many stereotypes in advertising. Mothers day cards are all pink, with pictures of kittens in baskets playing with flowers. Father's day ones are blue and have motorbikes and pints of beer. Has no one in advertising ever met a parent?
