    @BowsacNoodle @cjd @GluedToTheScreen It's basically like that except there are layers of insulating foam tarred together, capped with a gypsum board, then covered with a sheet of granuled tar paper. Toss loose granules on the tar seepage when you're finished.

    I've never seen peaked roofs built like that though so I assume it's only good for a really low pitch.

    @BowsacNoodle @LordOfTheKangs They use 1x3 and 2x3 instead of 2x4 and 2x6 studs. Usually use thinner drywall too. Wiring is kinda jank but not much worse than a stick build -- sometimes rooms won't even have overhead light fixtures, the switch will turn a receptacle on or off and you just put a lamp or whatever in.

    I wouldn't want to live in one full-time but they're great for recreational properties and temporary use.
