@lerxst @whknott @mekkaokereke Yep, this is a key design theme of Robert Moses's work, making bridges across the thruways on Long Island and going upstate too low for buses to carry Black people from the boroughs out to the upper class suburbs. Robert Caro mentions it a couple times in "The Power Broker."
