Went to the #Akron #Ohio main library book sale today. . . my husband bought appx 110 CDs for $5.

They may be an antique format now, but I was glad to have CDs the other day when aws was down!

Congresswoman Joyce Beatty, a Columbus #Ohio Democrat, was on a potential hit list of a man accused of killing a Minnesota lawmaker and her husband and wounding another lawmaker and his wife.

In an emailed statement June 16, Beatty extended her sympathies to friends and loved ones of Minnesota House Speaker and Rep. Emerita Melissa Hortman and her husband, Mark, whom authorities say were fatally shot June 14 by 57-year-old Vance Boetler.

They can't find/arrest actual criminals, that takes hard work time & smarts. So they go for easy work, catching students. All to please "the don."

Feels to me what even our #Ohio officials are trying, suppressing voting, gerrymandering, moving against referenda that we voted in.

These are the younger generation of Reagan supporters who swallowed the idea of "welfare queens" so GOP could cut gov't spending that helped even those supporters. Nothing makes them happier than thinking they are hurting someone who doesn't look like them, live like them.

Libraries are at the mercy of publishers regarding ebook pricing. Not Overdrive.

There are numerous former public libriarians who work at Overdrive, they don't regard it as an evil place.

There's another similar company Cloudlibrary. I imagine their pricing stucture is similar cuz it's the publishers' game.

Libraries don't have a lot of great licensing models to choose from, it's all about publishers' finances.
