A day in the life of America:
Explaining to someone: "No, I can't fly American airlines to visit, they connect in places I can't pee."

Learn about women's history.
Learn about Black history.
Learn about Latine history.
Learn about queer history.
Learn about Ukraine history.
Learn about Palestinian history.
Why? Simple: Trump and Elon don't want you to. That should be enough encouragement.
Here's a message for parents: If your kid is autistic *TELL THEM*.
I get so sad reading stories of people who struggled thinking they were morally broken until they found out they were different, only to discover that others had the word that explained things, but didn't want to share it.
Nobody catches autism by being told they are autistic. It doesn't make you more autistic. It just lets you know you are different, not defective.
I pointed out that I'm going to swap my Model M keyboard for a Model F keyboard, and they mentioned that they didn't know keyboards had a gender, in jest.
So I'm sticking with this, I transitioned, so I need my keyboard to do so too!
One can schedule a Tesla test drive online.
Just posting info for Tesla lovers. I would never suggest people book appointments that will fill up the Tesla calendar and then not show and/or that will make salespeople wait around for nobody.
@RainofTerra I guess I am claiming my gender is “Enola Gay” now. After all, didn’t the pope compare trans folks to nuclear weapons?
USA - Trans travelers using visas or non-USA passports that don't match their sex assigned at birth should use extreme caution visiting the USA. You may risk permanent ban and/or temporary detention.
Today, the Black feminist I’m honoring is Maya Angelou. She did so much, it’s hard to pick what to share about her.
But in these evil times, it’s good to be reminded of how she saw struggle as a Black woman: https://www.poetryfoundation.org/poems/46446/still-i-rise
Today’s Black Feminist is Marsha P. Johnson, a trans woman who often spoke up for all women.
“History isn't something you look back at and say it was inevitable, it happens because people make decisions that are sometimes very impulsive and of the moment, but those moments are cumulative realities.”
The USA’s ESTA application (for people who need an ESTA to visit the USA, such as most Europeans) no longer allows an “X” gender marker on your passport. I’ll update the trans travel guide later today.
Seriously, open source people, name one of your variables "transgender_marxism" and name one of your functions "green_new_deal".
You don't want your software used in weapons? This will help ensure it isn't.
Reminder: When GOP talks about getting rid of “DEI” they don’t mean getting rid of stupid contrived training that does no good. They mean getting rid of Black people, women, trans folk, and others that don’t fit their ideal of a white ethnostate. They mean getting rid of *PEOPLE*. Not programs.
Hmmm, apparently cops *can* have a backbone.
FBI agents refuse to turn over their own. Good for them on that, they are in the right there.
Now if we could get this same courage from cops, but applied to protecting people who aren't cops.
It is ethical to disobey an unethical law.
And sometimes it is ethically required to disobey an unethical law. Sometimes courage has a cost.
Don't just not comply in advance. Consider not complying period. Again, sometimes that is the ONLY ethical choice.
I believe in diversity. I'm enriched by people different than me.
I support equity. I believe we should recognize potential for all.
I promote inclusion. We should have a place at the table for all.
I pursue accessibility. Needless barriers shouldn't be in front of anyone.
I'm writing an undergrad thesis (gender, women, and sexualities studies) on selective disclosure and strategic deception by trans+autistic people as evidence of agency. (I.E. think rhetorical response to things like the Cass Report and the rapid onset gender dysphoria bullshit that both, when discussing autistics, infantalize autistics as non-agental subjects).
I'm interested in research people are aware of on deception in autistic people. Always interested in things I haven't yet found!

She didn't sing what she planned to. She sung what she sung on SNL when she condemned the Catholic Church.
The lyrics were a modification of Bob Marley's lyrics to the song, War. Those lyrics came from a speech Emperor Haile Selassie gave to the UN.
Courage all the way through, through generations.
Fuck the mob. Do what is right.

I'm thinking of courage, and standing against the mob today.
I'm thinking of Sinead O'Connor, who history has proven right, when she condemned the Catholic Church's acceptance of child abuse.
At a concern a week later (ironically to honor Bob Dylan), she was booed. Kris Kristopherson was told to escort her off stage, but instead went to her and told her, "Don't let the bastards get you down." She replied, "I'm not down."
The only place where people are forced/tricked into transitioning gender is in fictional porn.
That it's such a common thing to write an opinion piece about in major newspapers says something about those writers and their editors' sources of information.
These feel increasingly needy and desperate, as in "Please date me! I'm lonely!"
In this case, I suspect it's "We need to show we have growth in the number of users using AI, or our shareholders will wonder why we're spending so much money to destroy the planet's environment on our automated bullshit generators!"
