They're dropping in response to what the GOP have done, not necessarily what they've said. It's more a PR problem, it's that people are genuinely aware of the evil in their midst.

You can't just paper over the parts that are genuinely hurting people because the pain isn't going to stop.

He's trying to blackmail himself back into power.

This guy is just telegraphing his intention to fuck up the grocery stores in retribution for his guy losing.

@br00t4c They won't. That'll risk the revenue and data hoarding for later emergency interventions.

They want people healthy enough to work but sick enough to be dependent.

@pawsplay @cwebber I think it's key to really understand that it's all *happening*, not "about to happen".

There's a process to this of picking out a couple of disfavored minorities to build momentum on before moving on to harder targets. Any particular step may be left for later without changing the fact that the process is already underway.

The danger is now. Action is needed now.

@br00t4c So she's pretending she worked hard on this bill that arrived on her desk pre-written with a "do not read, just vote" instruction from the RNC.

If it's bad for the country, it's bad for Alaska. They're not separable in any meaningful way here. She betrayed the country and her constituents by refusing to vote against the bill she acknowledged was bad.

That's the entire story. There's no excuse and there's no amount of bullshit she can spray to fix it.

@br00t4c She's just making sure they don't release the ones with Trump in them. She's got to keep the numbers and content vague so when she eventually releases her much abridged version it only hurts people Trump doesn't like.

@br00t4c If they're going to force people onto healthier drinks they better make damn sure the tap water is pristine.

This should not just be an angle to shove people into the more profitable bottled water products of the same companies as the soda.

Even rich labor is labor and we need solidarity more than ever.

If we're *fighting* with them, their actions and the negative consequences are all that matter.

We're past the point of asking them to stop, making them stop is the priority now.

It popped in my head this morning that "trickle down" is how politicians dressed up "pro business" in "pro labor" camouflage. And it's still working somehow.

Closeted racists who were otherwise pro labor generally were given a "whites only" option and they took the bait, fracturing labor solidarity and neutering their own power.
