   Uh...so apparently A24 is developing an SCP film & in the process ignoring the implications of the license under which derivative works may be distributed.

   >They would not be permitted to distribute the film with DRM or other effective technological measures that would prevent it from being copied.

   >They would not be able to establish any sort of exclusivity with respect to distribution.

     A24 used to be a distribution company that picked up really interesting & unique indie films.

     Then they became a production/distribution company & produced some really unique & interesting films.

     Then they made a bunch of $$ & got a lot of critical acclaim (Everything Everywhere All At Once), & investors realized there was Real Money to be made here. I think we're reaching the part of this where the things people once liked have been reduced to a flesh suit worn by vulture investors.

     @artemis They've been suing people over use of The Backrooms as if they invented it.

     I assume this will be similarly mishandled.
