While you're being told to recycle more & use paper straws to save the #planet the world’s richest 0.01% are wrecking it not only through their lavish lifestyles but also their ownership-based #emissions.

A new Greenpeace Africa report found that the world’s richest 0.01% are associated with about US$992 billion worth of climate damage in 2022 alone through ownership-based emissions. These are emissions linked to the companies, investments and assets wealthy people own and profit from.

REMINDER: radical comes from radix, “root.” Being radical means going to the roots of our troubles, tackling the deep ecological and social causes of crises.

That radicality and hope in action are exactly what we need today.
