@josh0 Search engines basically suck today. As recently as two years ago, it was pretty easy to find even the most obscure references after refining your search terms. (I mostly searched for vintage car, motorcycle, political, and rock music references)
These days itโs pathetic. You get 20 of the most recent uses of any key search term. I stopped using Google because of it, but now Duck Duck Go is just as lame.
@ewen The man that developed the Smugmug photo sharing/storing website/app had someone reverse engineer his code and patent it, subsequently attempting to charge him a licensing fee to use the software he had personally developed.
It took him several years and (probably) millions of dollars to fight him and eventually win. And nothing the guy did was illegal.
@msnbc@msnbc-msnbc Still waiting for your apology for sanewashing Donoldโs insanity while covering Bidenโs age non-stop for 9 months until you badgered him to drop out.
@Npars01@QasimRashid This is the new reality: no accountability for oligarchs. A Republican congress guarantees that nothing will come of it. Get used to it. Itโs going to get a lot worse before it gets better.
As I posted somewhere the other day: The โRule of Lawโ is an agreement. For it to mean anything, both sides need to comply.
When one side refuses, and the other side refuses to hold them to account, itโs nothing more than โa fart in a hurricane,โ as a friend used to say.
@WarnerCrocker Show of hands: who ever dreamt that believing in Democracy, the Constitution, and the Rule of Law would make you a โRadical Left Lunatic?โ
The crosstown rivalry football game between my HS Alma Mater and the newer HS in the wealthier part of town was cancelled tonight because of online threats towards coaching staff, players, and families from the newer high school studentโs social media accts. Donโt know if the threats were racial in nature, or simply violent. I suspect the former.
Seth Abramson on the โTotal Warโ republicans have waged ion democracy since 2000.
โIn short, while an executive-branch insurrection was stoppedโfor nowโon January 6, with easily replaceable foot-soldiers (but not any of their major leaders!) being held accountable for their crimes, the *judicial-branch* insurrection the MAGAs launched was a successful one.โ
@EricLawton@Adam_Cadmon1@cobalt Iโm not gonna lie, I find this seriously disturbing. Iโm old enough to remember anti-war protests in 1968 propelling Nixon into the WH.
@xadium@404mediaco@pluralistic From where Iโd sit, the so-called liberally biased MSM is collapsing in on itself due to its both-sidesism and its inability to call out the threat of the fascist GOP for what it is.
