@drahardja it's disappointing that this piece didn't take the time to delve into the actual history of general strikes.
I feel like this piece really just misses the point entirely. Calling for a general strike can, in fact, be easy - successfully generating one is another matter entirely. That doesn't mean we should stop calling for them, though!
@drahardja ultimately I don't think anyone (credibly, anyway) claims that any of the "general strike" calls this author complains about were successful. But again, that doesn't inherently de-legitimize their intentions.
Instead of saying "leave it to the #unions", I would say, "keep trying" and "talk to your friends and like-minded people". #Organizing is ultimately about relationship-building and #solidarity. No one "owns" the idea of a strike, general or otherwise.
@doug lol fair. And to be fair I'm mostly kidding, I haven't actually tried Satisfactory but I've heard good things, and there doesn't have to be Only One True Factory (but if there did, it would be Factorio 😉 )
@tillshadeisgone I just want to say thank you for posting this; as a cis white male I've been wrestling with instance-level action for this, and your take is very helpful and appreciated.
@drscriptt yeah we started off as an OpenSRS reseller and then moved on to being an accredited registrar. Domain registration was generally a combination with our DNS for your own domain services.
