@mekkaokereke As a nerd, I can't tell you how quickly I went from full defensive, "No, that's not true, that can't be true!" to "He's totally correct, it's not even close. Why did I even have that initial reaction?"

I suspect my reaction was caused by my own experience of jocks in high school, but that's not misogyny.

As an adult, I've literally had to make HR complaints against male coworkers for things like implying a female coworker's value was in being pregnant. And my company is considered better-than-most for this kind of thing.

@mekkaokereke It seems like what he was trying to do was juxtapose what Musk wants to cut vs what's actually causing problems, which makes the "Elon Musk is right" a premise that he's redirecting.

It's a traditional debate tactic. But Twitter is not a debate stage, and he did not develop the argument.

A better opening would have been, "Elon Musk wants to cut the government budget." Then have what he says about the Pentagon. Then end with, "Why isn't Musk talking about the Pentagon budget?"

But also, Harris was doing everything she could to look like a Republican in an attempt to win unicorn "moderate Republicans", supporting a genocide, and promising to militarize the border. She lost the people she needed to win, while trying to win people who never were going to vote for her.

@futurebird This appears to be one of a series of "I'M THE GUY" pins from 1910s cigarette advertisements. If you google "I'M THE GUY 1910s pins", you can see a bunch of cheesy, and often nonsensical ("put the air in hairpins"?) wordplay like this.

My best guess: ants are small, giants are big, by taking the "ants out the giants" you're the guy that took the small out of the giants, and that's why they're big. Of course, it could also just be nonsense.
