to say that mewgenics has consumed a large part of my recent time would be an understatement
this is honestly edmun mcmillens magnum opus
i feel like despite all the time i've played i havent seen even half of what the game has to offer and yet it has made me feel things i had not felt in a while, makes me feel like a kid again
the humor is still pretty much golden era newgrounds
and the gameplay is incredibly engaging
the cat breeding with how many things you have to balance such as cat stats, comfort, mutations and even inbreeding which from what i've been told uses the real inbreeding coefficient formula
and of course the battles which are nothing short of amazing, most wont last more than 3 turns, not because the enemies are weak, rather it's the fact that synergies in this game are insane and the tides of battle can change at the most minimal choice i have experienced both fights i tought i would lose only to end up winning them in a brief moment of clarity and others in which i get too cocky and then get team wiped in 2 turns, there's always something in the game that can give you a surprise, both good and bad
and i love it, it's thrilling and it forces my brain to adapt to whatever bullshit gets thrown at me
i also fuckin love the games soundtrack, every new boss i fight(which all come with their own vocal song) i find a new earworm that then proceeds to stick to my brain for the next days
despite what some here would say about how the game looks and other similar things i firmly believe mewgenics is a standing example of quality
it's probably for the better that most games nowadays suck ass because i can use all my time focusing on this that has now become my new autistic fixation

@DarkMahesvara i post so much about it because it's that fuckin good, also because it's one of the few games that actually made me hit my desk, something i had not done in years
the pure unrelenting emotion this game causes me is something i enjoy
it's one of those games that does give you free reign to come up with stupidly strong strategies and hell even expects you at times to do so
