    @aliasless @roobre yh I reckon it's the gold standard for pixel art at this point. Nothing wrong with using other things if that's what you know but they have developed a lot of ideas specifically geared towards pixel art and there's no need to squabble with filtering and AA settings and such

    The more I learn about the 70's and 80's musical history the less I feel like hard rock is much of a real genre at all. It's not descriptive and seems to fit glam progressive, progressive rock, arena rock, and early metal alike.

    Getting it into my head that I can actually use the features provided by Godot is hard. Back in my Game Maker days you had to do most things yourself and half of the systems provided by the engine were unworkable anyway. It probably has more pros than cons, but it's also a bit of a shame that you mostly learn how to utilise existing systems as opposed to how to design and implement systems.

    On a grander scale, it's definitely a common trend in software development. If you try to make something with a cloud provider, 90% of your work will be learning, setting up, and connecting the right infrastructure. Vendor lock-in is a huge incentive for this, so it's interesting to see how it reflects in free software. Godot obviously isn't concerned about vendor lock-in, but definitely interested in taking the best from these patterns to aid its users.
