     @sam @chjara Heh reminds me of once describing Haiku as close enough to POSIX that supporting it kind of like supporting a BSD or illumos.
     
     At least I quite like BeFS being nicely queryable, I so wish ZFS would have that.

     @chjara @sam I don't think it's even layer in the case of Haiku, at least the libc allows to use POSIX features without doing anything special.
     
     Meanwhile Plan9's ape is pretty much equivalent to wine but for Unix stuff instead of win32 stuff.

     @lanodan @sam doesn't beos and thus haiku actually have POSIX compatibility layers built in
