    @hj I've been using symlinks for this here, it werks, only bit I wish I could have is well… "hey, this directory is nfs, don't throw away scanned data when it's empty"

    @Rairii @julia And well if you want to audit GNU code, you'll probably want binary-auditing skills because:

    • GNU Gettext has gettext-tools/m4/csharpexec-test.exe and 3 java class files in gettext-tools/examples
    • gnulib (vendored in so many projects) has lib/javaversion.class with no recipe for it

    (And parts of me wonder how well that works legally given the GPL…)

    @koakuma @novenary And interestingly I think I'd put LLVM more towards WebKit than Chromium.
    Not due to popularity kind of things, but more because LLVM is more made to be reusable than GCC (sadly most newfangled devs hate system dependencies), and I think that's the technical side* of the reason why it's getting more adopted by new languages.

    *I think licensing is also why, unilateral relicensing to GPLv3 hits again

    That said gcc used to have java, thankfully still has go, and is slowly getting rust (not sure how well that will work though given cargo…).
