   I need to get back on the rung of a desktop computer after 15 years, should I be getting a 40 gen geforce now while I can because it's gonna be forever to get a 50 gen and they will be scalped to hell while there won't be any new 40 gens left or should I wait?

     I don't have half a year to wait, so my thoughts is will there be a 40 gen sale or basically is it all about to disappear

     @jorin yeah that seems to be my impression. I'm a gamer who doesn't go above 50 frames normally either so it seems like getting a 50 gen would be a lot of stress for something that would be overkill

     @siege I have not kept up much, but I'm assuming the improvements from 40 to 50 weren't huge, so it's probably better to avoid taking the gamble and get it done sooner if you're in a hurry.
