@ScottishGreens It's fundamentally dishonest to claim that everyone else can be that wealthy, too, yet the rich trot out that lie over and over again in the form of "If you just do what I do, you could be just as wealthy." Not so. More rich people means more poor people.

@yogthos Yes. Exactly. It's 50 years since the practice of sorting garbage for recycling became common, and for some reason that's beyond human comprehension, recycling is not yet a public utility like water and sewerage.
When told that X packaging material "cannot" be recycled, the average punter believes it (!!!) when what it really means is "We don't want to spend the capital for the equipment that could recycle it" or some other operational reason that could be easily overcome if the recycling service was state owned.
Some well-meaning people even *post* recyclables like plastic bottle tops to destinations many hundreds of kms away. Yes, really! The manufacturers get free materials, with the freight paid for by the donors. Is "suckers" too harsh a word? .
Demand that your government makes sorting and recycling of "all" waste a state- owned public utility.

@elfin @MissConstrue @Lana Gosh, this sounds awful. In Australia the choices are pretty much the Italian espresso standards: short black, flat white, latte, cappuccino. Take away cups are on display; you point to the size you'd like. It's all about good coffee flavour rather than weird additives or quirky names.

@inthehands I've seen posts on Mastodon from people who are already interpreting Tesla Takedown to mean vandalising privately owned cars or chargers and abusing Tesla drivers, because that's what they want it to mean. I looked at your website and I understand that's not what you intend, you can say one thing and people will hear you say something quite different, or they just don't want to do it your way. My message is for those people.

My checklist:
- Sales of new Teslas have dropped around 40% worldwide, and still dropping.
- The price of Teslas has dropped significantly: they're no longer just for the wealthy
- Many people bought their Tesla when Musk was universally admired as a "tech genius"
- Vandalising random Teslas or charging stations harms ordinary people who are being hurt by Musk just as much as anyone else. It does not harm Musk.
- many Tesla drivers would be public servants who've just been sacked, people frightened they can't get the meds they need etc. What are they going to think of you?
