What's your most memorable experience with a wild animal, whether on purpose or by accident?

Mine probably helping wildlife rescue folk sedate and treat an emu that'd stepped on a hypodermic needle and been walking around with it in its foot in pain for weeks. Truly dinosaur stuff.

@NanoRaptor I'm surprised this thread isn't full of Australians relating how they got swooped by a magpie in nesting season. #Australia #maggies #OzCulture

I met a moose once.
I was in a canoe in a shallow, windy creek. Rounded a corner and there's a moose, standing ankle deep, and I almost bonked the boat into his shin. It was stunning, I felt like I was looking up and up and up forever and it was just moose and moose and moose, all the way up. I've never before felt so small and fragile, nor at the mercy of such power.
He was chill about the whole thing. Nice guy.
