It is unacceptable to liberals that the implied promise of a protest is “the disruptions will continue until real change is undertaken.” It’s troublemaking. Tantamount to violence.
The ideal liberal protest action is just a moody parade. And if you put on a parade that is really well-attended and really moody, then politicians will be moved to do the right thing instead of the thing they were doing before the parade.
It’s parades and voting, all the way down. Anything that can’t be solved by one of these two actions isn’t worth solving.
I managed to unbrick the app by tapping over to another tab in the milliseconds before the link starts to load. But the search tab is basically cursed now, it always defaults back to that post instead of the standard search page and subsequently freezes. Not sure if that’ll eventually un-cache or not. It also seems like viewing my own profile is similarly cursed now, i’m guessing because of the above post including the link. So I might edit that post now…
@MonaApp Checked the individual posts and it seems this one is the problem: https://beige[dot]party/@intransitivelie/112256221420351100 I guess something to do with how many poll options there are?
Actually…be careful there. I am actually having trouble getting the app to work at all after opening that link inside the app, as even force-quitting just results in the app reloading itself, defaulting to trying to open that link, and locking up again…
@MonaApp weird bug to report. Scrolling on one of my List timelines and there is a certain spot on it where the app locks up every time. I got past it by tapping the top of the screen to scroll to top, but found that scrolling down to that same part of the TL also consistently feeezes the app. Viewing the same list on mastodon’s web interface shows about a half dozen posts that are between the spots where everything freezes.
#eurorack sale 😁 Figured I’d post these here before I go to modwiggler and then reverb, fedi gets first crack :)
First up, Mac Salad. It’s a clone of Cold Mac, with a couple extra features. A big mishmash of VCAs, utilities, voltage manglers, and a couple other things, all connected such that they can be easily used separately or in combination with one another. Hard to describe briefly, I’ve written more here: https://github.com/jepyang/Mac-Salad-v1.1-deprecated/tree/main
Voltage-controlled LFO. Another one of my own design. It’s pretty simple. Square and triangle output, one knob for freq, a jack to control freq with CV, and an attenuator for that jack.
This is an early revision with kinda awkward control placement: the two knobs and the input jack are tightly packed. Also note the triangle output is not a perfect triangle: it’s got a bit of a log curve to it, and the rise/fall time are not perfectly balanced.
DIY Braids. It’s…a Braids! Only one of the most popular eurorack modules of all time. I made this one (didn’t design it). I think the only difference to regular Braids is a 12-bit DAC instead of 16-bit. I can’t hear that, but there you go. Physically it might be 10-15mm deeper than a standard Braids, not actually sure how deep regular Braids is…
Intellijel Plonk. I decided I like doing physical modeling in software more than in eurorack, but it’s a real fun module if you put some time into it. Can do all kinds of physical modeling, including some alien stuff. Two voice polyphonic.
He’s really into it but has basically zero interest in combat; every enemy he sees, no matter how weak, he runs over to hand me the controllers. And if there’s more than one enemy, he stands in another room until they’re defeated.
