my birth troubles were a family secret, and the neurodivergence was too, part of it, and they were never going to tell me - and they were never going to look after me. It was, nah, you're normal, go to school, nah, you're normal, get a job. They never called me R-word so they would never have to acknowledge me or look after me.

I was never called the R-word, instead they lied and called me normal. I want to reclaim it.

I remember laughing because of the TV ads when cars got smart - you’re supposed to buy a sixty thousand dollar car because it has a cellphone in it. 😈

oh, boy, they insist they looked up the serial nuber and the Prius is a 2007 and the 20 year old battery and control unit need replacing, $6,000. Whereupon it will be better than its value, the car’s in nice shape, but that value will be about $6,000. I wasn’t really looking to buy a car at this point, which is pretty much what this is.

Autocorrect fails A LOT because it can't read your mind, it can't know what word you were trying to spell, and if you don't watch it, it will replace spelling mistakes with entirely wrong words instead - and this is a non-human priority.

A word is not the better word merely because it is spelled correctly.
