@dalias @rukenau @dangillmor I don't disagree with that, but I do think fear of trans people right now, in this point in time, is the fear du jour, and it was manipulated by the evil right, literally with one commercial.

And he hates trump, but he refused to vote for any Democrat because he was brainwashed by that commercial into thinking that with dems in charge, all girls will be forced to compete with 6 foot 5 inches tall trans basketball, baseball, football players.

I don't agree with it, and I think that trans basketball player should find a good lawyer and sue rightwing politicians for using their image, but fear was successfully stoked. Erie, Pittsburgh, and Youngstown politicians used it. I'm curious, was it used in your area too?

@freemo @ryan I believe the goal posts are moving here. Your original assertion was that atheism is faith-based and therefore a religion. My argument is that atheism is neither. You can apply different shades of agnosticism to atheism all you want, it still is not faith-based. Nor is it a religion. Also, have you ever heard of the concept that one can not prove a negative? I can not prove there isn't a teapot orbiting the sun. In fact, no one can.

@freemo @bonifartius @louis I think we're in agreement about capitalism. It has the capacity to being a thriving economic system; however, it must be governed to avoid where we're at now- a guilded era where economic injustice is proving Dr. King to have been spot on over a half century ago. Just wondering, your statement about morality and law enforcement, do you mean laws should be enforced morally, or that laws should legislate morality itself?

I'm sorry, but dismissing class warfare is ignoring millenia of human history. And your enforcing bans with violence comment made me a bit sick in my tummy.

@freemo @ryan I assure you, I'm not undecided about the existence of Thor et al. I didn't assert his/their existence. It is not my job to refute an assertion; it's the job of the claimant to provide evidence, which I then can consider and accept or reject. There is no credible evidence of deities; therefore, I live my life with No God/ess beliefs. The literal definition of atheist.
