@Rasta Why does it need to sink in? This is what people voted for, twice! People bitched, moaned, protested about this for decades ... fool me once and all that, and yet the majority of the US managed to vote for fascism and nazism. Let's stop with the excuses...

@amszmidt @Rasta Just remember that America has the highest numbers of vote suppression in the western world. Republicans used Jim Crow era laws to discard 3.5 million of Kamala's votes. She would've won with those votes.

@amszmidt @Rasta A majority didn't vote for it - never mind that's not a reason to submit. You might want it...

@jrredho it is sticking your head in the sand type of a story, and a similar story that the MAGA camp used when Biden got elected.
Trump got voted in, by the majority, meaning the majority of the US wants the turd.

And by "majority" you mean a plurality, and a narrow one at that?
Admittedly, it's not a much better story, but it is a little bit better... :(

@jenzi @Rasta so who is president in the US again? The US wants Trump. Simple as that. And the majority voted for him. Simple as that.

@jenzi Yeah he did, maybe you should look at the results. And I'm not eligible to vote in the US, so no .. he didn't win my vote.

@amszmidt @Rasta lol, no he didn't win any majority except of the people who did indeed vote - there's so much you don't know and are leaving out. But that's what I expect from a fascist.

@amszmidt @Rasta Alfred - we really don't care what you say, you told us to submit to fascism. You lost your voice.

@jenzi @Rasta what now? Maybe you should learn to read, I said no such thing. Rather, you should actually do something instead of making bullshit excuses.

@jrredho majority /məˈdʒɒrɪti/
noun
1. the greater number.Trump got 49.8%, Kamala got 48.3%.
Trump got the majority.
Majority, does not mean >= 50%, it has never meant that. It is also not how any election in any country in the whole world works. Keep redefining things to absurdum.

Again, you seem to not understand that a majority requires more than 50%. Mr Trump did not receive more than 50% of votes cast in 2024, although he did get close.
Majority vs plurality is easy enough to look up. So are the vote totals.
