@jaoswald Over the course of this thread, I've gotten multiple threats, demonizing comments, and what not .. and yet that seems to be totally fine.

*shurg* That seems fine, but some out of context comments from 20 years ago are the most vile and nasty things you can come up with.

I'm sure you've been as much a creep towards people as anyone else, we all make mistakes, what makes a kind person is to realize we are human.

@diegovsky Their points are that of bullies, they are not actually interested in talking or understanding someone. _I_ do not have to provide arguments for points that are essentially "I don't like you".

And once yet another bully who cannot even state what they are angry about.

Is beyond disconcerting ... it is always surprising that big projects don't reach out to @FSF, @sflc, @SFC or whatever to get actual input on these topics first, or even later seeing that this is a solved problem ...

If we are going to exclude individuals based on random opinions (opinions that aren't even that controversial in most of the world) that we might dislike from helping in making the world a better place -- we will never achieve anything.

We are all with faults, nobody is perfect. What matters is our shared goals to make things better despite our differences.

@jimsalter leading means having useful options on the actual topic, as such he is perfectly capable of doing so. This is just you disliking a person because of their option, and just a form of bullying at this point.

You accused someone of having done something, opinion and action are not the same. The slander nonsense is a bunch of out of context purposefully misrepresented garbage written by one individual with an axe to grind.

@fink "Did" -- having opinions is not doing. Most of those cherry picked, and totally misrepresented on purpose opinions are entirely uncontroversial in most of the Western world in either case (the USA being an exception, mostly since you managed to get a fascist into power -- great job!).

If you're not interested in having an actual conversation though and instead just want to post slander by all means ...

@tivasyk is more interested in bullying people to using his words than having a normal conversation. Here is a short example:

RSH ?= ssh
HOSTS ?= a.example b.example

hosts: $(HOSTS)

%.example:

make -j hosts

Runs RSH on all hosts HOSTS in parallel. This can easily be done on a single line for the curl example.

@tivasyk make is capable of running jobs in parallell, it is also capable of having Scheme and Shell and maybe other languages embedded. Make is entirely capable of doing everything shell can do.
