   Wrote a piece for @osi based on my experiences in open source over the last 20 years (!).

   On AI:

   > I think LLM AI tooling has the potential to be positive for open source but the jury is still out for now. To be really effective: you need to ensure you do extensive review of any AI generated output. Who are some of the best people in the world at extensive code review? Open source maintainers. This is why I think it could be useful for those folks.

     @mikemcquaid Can you help putting pressure on the @osi to publish the unredracted 2025 election results that the #OSI have refused to publish despite calls from the #FLOSS #FOSS #OSS community? https://codeberg.org/OSI-Concerns/election-results-2025 the #OpenSourceInitiative has published the results since the start, but this year they refuse to be transparent in their election process. @downey @richardfontana @bkuhn

     I haven't talked with @mikemcquaid in a while, but I know him to be an honorable person & I am sure if he'd known about the #OpenSource Initiative's election debacle & their refusal to publish election results, he'd not have written this article for them.

     That is the center of @osi's bad behavior: the cover-up is much worse than the crime (it's at least true for non-violent crime).

     #OSI has succeeded in getting traction for their false narrative; I don't blame
     @mikemcquaid for not knowing …
