@disisdeguey @mondoweiss @palestine @israel Whatever this article claims, the Palestinians are much worse now, so its pretty clear that Biden resisted some pathetic amount. He got zero golden pagers.

@br00t4c They should all take it. Watch conservatives scream when the shambles of a system fail completely, and they backfill with inept toadies.

@fae2535 @mattwilcox Probably somebody defederated Mastodon.Social. A lot of administrators are unhappy with moderation on that server, so it gets blocked a lot. Also, some admins block any server that federates with threads, which they do.

@jfmezei @mekkaokereke She could leave right now and make a killing off a tell all book. She could get a down payment from a publisher instantly and lay low while she told a ghostwriter just 5% of the shit. She wouldn’t suffer a bit.

She chose to wear a jacket to the border that said, “I don’t care, do you?”.

@eibhear @eibhear @wonka @gutocarvalho @jeffries I don’t think arbitrarily blocking websites is the way to go. First step should be a legal case publicly made. X has refused to participate in the public legal case. Now blocking the website becomes the only option.

@MugsysRapSheet @br00t4c I wouldn’t trust anything out of the Lancet since that Andrew Wakefield business. I’m sure it’s fine for non-political stuff, but anyone with an agenda can certainly buy it.

@i_give_u_worms @JuliusGoat No. Many immigrants will have no place to go. Home countries may not accept them. They’ve been here so long, they don’t know the language, culture, and really have no proof of their origin anyway.

Those people end up in permanent camps, but those camps don’t pay for themselves, and they have a free labor pool. They become labor camps.

This becomes such a greet boon for business, that the camps expand their qualifications. See 1932…

@RickiTarr Absolutely. If nothing else, your vote is heard. It’s part of s number that could make courts think twice about rejecting evidence in favor of political convenience knowing there is a sea of people waiting to make you irrelevant.

@selzero @kaia But “good wine” is also a misnomer. Good wine is the wine that you like.

@selzero @kaia I think, the best choices for a wine novice would be a Cabernet for a red, and a Sauvignon Blanc for a white. They are relatively neutral, but not generic.

Everyone will have a different opinion. My favourite is Pinot Noir.

@selzero @kaia Rather than “bad grapes” it’s frequently a blend of leftovers. What used to be called 2 buck chuck (Trader Joe’s) was notorious for occasionally having extremely good wine, but with very high variation.

People would buy a bottle of it, sample it in the parking lot, and if it was good, they’d go back and buy as much as they could afford.

Don’t know if it’s true anymore. It’s certainly no longer 2 dollars a bottle.

@kwheaton @HistoPol @randy Are you guys listening? Biden can’t step down without serious legal challenges that the Republicans are ready to spring on.

Suggesting its a practical option suggests you’re no better than Biden.

@kwheaton @HistoPol @randy That’s the dumbest thing I’ve heard. There is no legal grounds to remove him. The ballots in many states have been set.

Who will challenge him? Shortsighted Democrats that think they know best, that’s who. And they will install Trump doing it.

@kwheaton @HistoPol @randy That opposition had better include President Biden at the head of the ticket, or we wont even have a candidate on the ballot.

@Huntn00 Remember, the Israeli right wing, which Netanyahu is a part of, wants a Trump presidency. Not voting for Biden is supporting Netanyahu’s desires, so he can “finish it” under a Trump administration.

Supporting Netanyahu’s plan for gaza, by letting Trump take office, is supporting the very genocide they are protesting.

@MiriShuli @VedaDalsette @lednaBM @SaftyKuma @Lightfighter @Fenix @GottaLaff The totality of the American electorate is entirely the problem with the far left, especially the Democrats. While I agree with them on most issues, the Democratic electorate in particular, is a hodgepodge of diverse opinions.

Right or wrong, coming at Democrats as though the left is sole arbiter of justice fails.
