@dansup@mastodon.social out of curiosity, what was the rationale with not going open source to begin with? Was it to have the first "public" version be already stable and feature-rich? I could see that also avoids people forking off a dozen versions each prioritizing a specific desiderata while you get to a sizeable core of functionality.

You probably know this already, but there's also another application for events, besides Mobilizon, called Gancio (https://gancio.org/).
