#activitypub is just a code that connect different things, it’s not a help group nor every user of that code have to behave like a support group person. I don’t have to listen to the concerns of anyone I don’t know why you think that way. Go for a hour using this code that have similar interest and between yourself and them then ask if the want to listen to other people arguments. Asking anyone else is so weird and out of place.

Yes they are. By following the #threads and #fedipact hashtags you will see them. There is a pattern with these things. Some of them have good arguments to consider but most of the are wackos and grossly unknowledgeable of how the #ActivityPub thing works.

Yes I am aware that they wanted to federate. But oddly enough I don’t see much stuff here that comes from Wordpress.

I just discover this radical cult called #fedipact and I will write more about it in the future. So this sub group of people who see themselves and identify themselves as "persecuted" found some space here in the #fediverse . And They here radicalize themselves to a point that in some instances they will be willing to dish abuse and cyberbullying themselves. They who came to the fediverse complaining about that.

What is really surprising is that the fediverse is made for these people who want to go further into a secluded niche. You want to isolate more, the #fediverse is for you. Just open an instance and dont federate with anyone and voila, you have your own "safe space". Some of them claim that one person (Gargon) has "betrayed the essence of the #Fediverse" by for example allowing #Threads to join in.

You can have the views that you want about #Threads and #Meta and all but exposing @Gargon to more cyber abuse. Those who you think you want to protect will themselves abuse Gargon in a heart beat.
Anyone replying to this with offensive tone will be blocked. I dont follow you Aral and wont ever do, Im not interested in any of the issue you comment about. Im commenting beacuse I follow the #Threads and I have seen countless of user offering cyber abuse towards Gargon.

More to my point. I just have this much of engagement the past couple of hours just by commenting on 2 toots. This is way more that I want and a bit overwhelming for my standards. I personally don’t wish to be hooked on social media in a comment/ answer cycle. But that’s just me. It shows this platform is very alive.

If tis guy is the same one on Youtube he is inherently an "Influencer". He depends on people watching his videos on YouTube and of course loves the algo that promotes them. Good for him. Now coming to the #fediverse and talk trash of the people in the #fediverse is a big LOL. This guy advocates for better and more livable cities and now trashes the user who love the fediverse? LOL what an ASSHOLE. He has destroyed the reputation he had.

I plan to give a monthly sum next year. Ive never consider paying for social media but now this place is worth paying for in my opinion. I hope this don't sound bad but if there isa group of people paying for servers and more could we have "a vote" in keeping this place as far away from Twitter or other social media?
