    @s2208 @mackya @DMA @UnCL3 I think even if a woman can arguably produce a better dish, stature and other aspects of her femininity naturally impede attainment of what could be considered greatness. We are built for greatness within the familial and domestic sphere, not the public eye.

    No coincidence that famous female culinary personalities are always propped up by teams of men, and/or tend to be big and bulldyke-ish.

    @UnCL3 @DMA @mackya I've noticed women tend to bake at home but men tend to bake commercially.

    As an average/petite sized woman who baked commercially for several years this makes sense to me. It is physically demanding work and all equipment is sized for average build males.

    Anecdotally... I've been doing "all the things" in the kitchen since before my solid memory even really begins. Was developing my own recipes and honing techniques/processes by the time I was 10.

    Most people tell me I make the best *everything* and they're not lying. I have a gift for it. An obvious God-given talent.

    But when it comes to teaching other people how to make what I make, scaled for production and to a very exacting standard... men are better at it. It's just how it is. They pick it up quick and throw it down RIGHT.

    I trained my younger brother to pick up some of my production work for a while when he didn't have other work lined up and I needed help, and he absolutely crushed it. Better within a couple weeks than the girls I'd trained for months. :acat:
