@sickburnbro "What if it were your sister?" is probably the worst way to think about problems.
On the contrary - even if you are personally affected, you should try to think about the problem abstractly.
People would probably opt to sacrifice a random child to save their relatives from harm, but this would make a horrible general law. -

Looked funny at the first glance, but the only things she can bond over is concerts...
What the actual fuck? -

Smokers definitely didn't before it became law.
A few decades ago it was even normal to light up and ask for an ashtray in a non smoker's house - he could probably have asked you to stop or leave, but that would have been seen as rude. -

Historically not.
At least autocratic ones.
Aristocratic, non-universal Democratic states can last for quite a while.
See the Roman republic or the republic of Venice. -

@AuntNorma @Starprophet1 @NoDoxGregBrady @DW2 @Punished_Potatus @TrevorGoodchild @sickburnbro That's how it actually works in most cases. In Turkey mothers and grandmothers activate their network, if their son intends to get married.
The problem sometimes is, that their network often consists mainly of family (while the men's network would also include business relationships), which leads to inbreeding and the birth of a high number of tards in some cases.
But these problems can be fixed easily compared to the "just find your soulmate, bro"-system -

@sickburnbro Europeans build houses in the countryside too - if they can and when they have children.
The Italian cities selling old houses within towns for a dollar are the result of Europeans appreciating walkable towns so much... -

@caekislove @monsterislandcolonizer @sickburnbro I used to listen to "This American Life" (which technically isn't NPR produced, but anyway...) for a while, but it became absolutely insane after Trump's election. There were no more neutral, interesting episodes anymore, it all went 100% TDS. -

@sickburnbro Nigger, you buy my time, not my output.
And my time also includes me shitting.
We can negotiate a contract about output, but then I'm not your employee, but a contractor. -

@Charles_in_Charge @ryan There are tons of non-activist gays who just want to be gay on their own, but I've never met or heard of a non-activist troon.
The whole concept of "trans rights" is activist.
There is no vag-check at the entrance of a women's bathroom, so every sufficiently passing troon can and always could use it without a problem.
Trans activists demand that everyone else throws away his instinct, gut feeling and rational thinking in order to accept their twisted "reality". -

@sickburnbro That's certainly the main point.
Another one is that he is such an archetypal "good boy".
If was a skinhead with a "kill niggers!" tattoo, they could frame the whole incident into another Charlottesville, but a naive, chubby boy who genuinely wanted to help is something they cannot cope with. -

Yes.
And when there is too much or too little energy, they start to spin up or down, which can wreak havoc on a turbine.
Also electric motors without inverters change their speed, which can be a problem with pumps or fans, where a little more speed can quickly mean overloading. -

If you don't need to stabilize a grid within less than a tenth of a Hz, maybe - windmills did work after all.
But with electricity, not so much. -

Wind turbines are probably the worst method of energy production.
Solar on a private roof can make sense, if energy prices are high, but wind is simply shit.
Expensive, the worst kind of energy to run a grid with - wind gusts let turbines oscillate between 0 and 100% within seconds and if the wind gets too strong, they need to shut off - solar can be predicted well in advance, wind absolutely can't.
Infrasound and moving shadows reduce property prices in the vicinity, birds and bats are shredded by the fast moving blades. -

@Vril_Oreilly @graf @Moon @wikimediafoundation There's the solution:
Cite a book that isn't available on Amazon.
The tragic of that retarded rule is that they would never accept first hand knowledge, but cite every paper written by a midwit retard. -

Why does apple see their users as their product by selling access to them?
I thought it was their main selling point against google that they didn't. -

Yeah, it's just to counter the "but it works in X" argument.
Mail in voting is not easy and can definitely not be implemented in a hurry.
Even the in person voting process in the US is fucked up - voting without identification opens the doors to fraud. -

Mail in voting can work, but it takes strict rules and absolutely trustworthy voter and citizen lists.
So it's definitely not possible in the US.
If there is reasonable doubt in a vote, it's better to repeat the process with new rules than to go along. -

I don't know about anime specifically, but there are definitely agencies providing woke plot points and storylines to Hollywood and TV productions.
Some are DEI centric, other focus on climate change propaganda.
