The big downside of gasoline is that it has to be drilled out of the earth and produced in a refinery.
Electricity can be produced almost everywhere with very little effort.
Sure, the technological development ran differently (it was easier to transport fuel somewhere than to use electricity - many alpine huts had/have gas lighting for that reason), but today it is entirely possible to have off-grid electricity - not in a city and not for industrial purposes. -

If the solar array factory stops working, all the already running arrays continue to work until their natural demise.
If the refinery stops, it's a few weeks at most until everything dependent on fuel stops. -

Not for the actual production, though.
You can put a solar array somewhere in the bush and live off it. You can't make it there, that is part of what I meant with "industrial purposes". -

The Onion does parody and satire.
The woke wave his and they become a partisan rag.
The Babylon Bee takes over parody and satire.
The zionist wave hits and they become a partisan rag.
Why can't there be an equal opportunity parody site? -

This.
People are aware that he cannot simply deport all illegals by decree, but starting the war was entirely avoidable - there wasn't even a provocation from Iran that would've required a response to "save face". -

The crazy thing is, if you gave a homeless man 80,000$, he'd at least have a good chance of not being homeless anymore.
But they fund "organizations" to help the homeless, which have zero actual motivation to end homelessness, as this would also end these organizations. -

There are millions of wet cooling towers in all kinds of industrial applications everywhere.
In many regions water isn't scarce. -

People know that unbridled immigration of browns is bad.
Even if they would increase the GDP.
For the oligarchs it is a simple calculation: Will they bring me more wealth than increased security will cost.
For the common man the question is whether replacing his car or phone a few months earlier is actually worth the destruction of his community, livelihood and nation. -

The eternal boomer made "youthful rebellion" his thing right up until contracting senile dementia.
Subsequent generations could only rebel by not rebelling, which does not solve the problem. -

I think people generally need religion and spirituality.
Large parts of Christianity have forgotten about spirituality, because they're either stuck in rigid laws and rituals or have succumbed to an "everything goes", kumbayah attitude.
It's hard for the few actual inspiring leaders to teach spirituality when spirituality came natural to themselves. A good teacher is often a person, who had to struggle for his knowledge, not one who simply understood it instinctively.
Mainstream Christianity does at the moment not meet the people's spiritual needs. -

That's actually an interesting observation.
Most people know shit about the Spanish civil war - yes, Guernica, the literally Hitler Franco, Hemingway and the Robert Capra photo...
The first narrative that wasn't entirely positive towards the communists that I have seen was -interestingly - "Land and Freedom" by the actual leftist socialist Ken Loach. -

@PraxisOfEvil Exactly.
Millennials are not the best-looking generation in general, but at least she's not a pale-green haired blob of fat. This fact alone lifts her above average. -

@mk @JuicyGothMommyFeet The emotional reaction shows that it touches a nerve in them.
They could easily react with "whatever, not for me" or not at all, but they "chose" to shriek hysterically.
I'm not a friend of the generalized popular psychology approach ("Arachnophobia? You must have the secret desire to fuck spiders!"), but usually things that trigger people actually hit closer to home than they are ready to admit. -

The idea of a club for "high IQ people" is in itself laughable.
People who believe that this could be a good idea immediately out themselves as spiritual midwits.
