Anybody know why within the #PixelFed Discover feature, the Posts tab is almost entirely made up of pixelfed.social accounts, whereas the People tab seems to be from your local instance? I have four Pixelfed accounts, each on a different instance, and the Discover / Posts tab results are identical for all of them.
Is that by design?
I’m seeing this while using the Pixelfed app on an iPad, if that matters.
@feditips I’ve used this reporting mechanism twice. I don’t know if I should expect a response from my local admin or not, but I didn’t get one in either case. I have no idea what happened after I reported the behavior.
@feditips got a question for ya. My #Pixelfed account @45rpm shows that it has 70 posts so far, but that’s not accurate. I’ve made 35 posts, most of which have two images each. At least one post has several more than that. I can’t figure out a way such that the post number makes sense. It’s also off on my other Pixelfed accounts. Any idea how they’re calculating it? Is it a bug? It’s been like this for months and months. Thanks!
@lmas@feditips@dalcacer@bookwyrm@wikidata@inventaire thanks. What about the case where I'm reading the 1st book in a series, but what shows up after the import is the 2nd book? It has the author and name of the series right, but not the name of book? What would cause the import to choose the wrong book in a series?
Also, are these libraries updated periodically, say for new books or ones which are less well known? I was thinking of redoing the import from Goodreads now that it’s been 6+ months to see if more titles migrated successfully.
@feditips@dalcacer@bookwyrm the only issue I had with the import was that some books were not found or were replaced in my collection with books that I actually don’t have. That included books that I was in the middle of reading, which created a real stumbling block to adopting it.
