     @stevenray @AlgoCompSynth I personally find it quite depressing to see the assumption that a robot would want to maim its creator or other humans.
     Plus, grippers could probably do that job already if it really wanted to.

     @Denian I think that for their electronic pianos, Yamaha took their best concert piano and sampled every note separately.

     @MicroSFF Anybody who has ever tried to synthesize a violin (or any of its differently sized siblings) knows very well that there IS a difference, and most synthetic wood winds aren't that great, either...
