I think there is definitely something to keto over other diets. But I think there is something else going on most of the time that is even more effective. When you cut out sugar and carbs you are basically eliminating all modern processed food. And what you are left with is real food. That is the key difference.

Logical fallacy. Yes there is such a thing as non-processed carbs. But anyone who goes on a diet is eating processed carbs. The existence of non-processed carbs is irrelevant.

@GoyGirl When I wrote that I wasn't even thinking about it from a practical sense. I was actually thinking about it from a symbolic point of view. Things with life are chaotic. They have agency. They have a personality. The animating spirit that created cultures around the world was alive.

But now it's a spirit of legalism, of digital algorithms and databases and structure. We are nothing but economic units. We have no meaning. The world is sterile, and so is our spirit.

Fertility is a problem because we have created a sterile world with sterile things and sterile institutions.
