Example 1 - the senior academic economist who wrote the course says there is a debate about climate change caused by industry. That there is a "probability" it is real. And insurance is the best way to deal with its impacts, if any.

Example 2 - they think of poor people as being trapped if they get a welfare safety net. So take it away. Make sure there are "incentives" (threats) to work. This is ao simplistic that it isn't serious - it can only be a prejudice dressed up in academic framing.

I am really disappointed that #opensource organisations like @pycon and @NumFOCUS have remained silent on this.

They position themselves as being diverse, inclusive, and supporting good things for everyone all over the globe - and they do generally live up to that aim.

But on this their silence is loud.

And that silence is not neutrality.

And imho, it is privilege that allows them to remain silent, to look the other way.

Im no expert but I'm led to believe rust is a significantly different paradigm but also massively hard work.

Might as well use that enthusiasm and energy to design a new kind of kernel rather than Frankenstein the existing kernel which follows a 30 year old design...

1. All your passwords in one online service means adversaries (eg the state) have only one place to get your passwords. Perhaps this comes down to threat model as you say

2. Isn't Tor a massive honeypot? It emerged from the US military. If it truly is as effective as people say it is, then it would already be banned already, surely?

I'm not an expert but I've always thought things like consumer VPNs, password management software and anti-virus software as increasing your risk, not decreasing it.

The central point is they aggregate your information into the hands of one agent, and agent you don't know - making it easier for them, or those that attack them to get at your data.

This is a question - I'd welcome comments.

You have previously stated publicly that you do indeed monitor to/from people interact via email.

You said it was to cancel accounts used to sign up to newsletters or get past nagging WiFi etc

So you do read who we email and who we get email from.

Their legacy will be genocide.
