@onepict@onqueerstreet@neonsnake Neat! I also know others who have been busy organising recently and who have found it's helped them deal with trauma and grief.
@treehouseofhorror Oh, no! This reminds me of that meme where the person is reading a book titled "Is My Cat Plotting to Kill Me?" and the cat is peering over the person's shoulder from the background.
@Ulrich_the_elder Ha, not entirely, seeing as I resided there for a while and soon became aware of how much knowledge Canadians had of British politics and culture.
@Ulrich_the_elder You're right, but sadly they long ago scuppered the attempts of Corbynistas/Momentum to democratise the party and now have not only smeared and purged the leftists but have it pretty much locked down and stuffed with Blairites and it's never coming back.
For those interested in The SilenceBreaker, there'll be a slight change in web address soon as well as upcoming pieces on Noam Chomsky as well as so-called "A.I." so if you're interested, a subscription might be best. (The Chomsky piece documents the warning signs of his Nazi apologism and my own strange relationships with artists who were fans of both Noam Chomsky and Alex Jones...it's eerie!) https://www.silencebreaker.media
So no, nobody is truly shocked by Sir Keir Starmer's relationship with Lord Peter Mandelson. Their interests align. Any day now, the Blairites will inevitably switch their spokesperson, but the sickness now forever remains in a rotten party purged of anything good that was once able to survive, if not thrive there. This is what they are, and who they are. They won't even care to lose (they certainly didn't in 2016 or 2019 when they actively fought to ensure their own party's defeat). And they'll all be just fine in their jobs at Meta or wherever.
And then...? Then Blairism's war criminals and paedophiles finally had their man in 10 Downing Street -- Owen Smith V2.0, a spokesman for their interests. His weak general election victory brought with it, as I predicted here, the very real threat of Nigel Farage gaining power: https://www.silencebreaker.media/the-spectre-of-starmer-keeps-haunting-me/
Then, after the crushing "Get Brexit Done" general election defeat, Blairites prepared their boy Sir Keir Starmer to take the party leadership by not only sweeping his track record under the rug, but by initially falsely co-opting Corbynism policies until he'd secured the spot, at which point he could dump them and begin the purge of leftists from the party: https://www.silencebreaker.media/no-embraces-no-fanfare-no-rallies-sir-keir-starmer-wouldnt-have-it-any-other-way/
Then, after so much shit that wouldn't quite stick, there were the attacks on Corbynism's pro-Palestine stance by sickeningly weaponising anti-Semitism while the actual anti-Semite hiding in plain sight, Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson, repeated the line "Get Brexit Done," in answer to almost every question, in order to easily occupy No.10: https://www.silencebreaker.media/the-sickening-orwellian-anti-semitic-weaponisation-of-anti-semitism/
Then there disingenuous justifications for Blairites to remain strongly embedded in a "democratic socialist party" (according to the membership card at the time) because it was a "broad church"...until they had their chance to purge Corbynistas from the party of course: https://www.silencebreaker.media/the-lie-of-the-broad-church/
Then there was lobbyist "D-Fens" Owen Smith and his ice cream van, handpicked by Blairites, Lord Mandelson thinking of ways to undermine Corbyn "every day" while commentators like Owen Jones were actually helping him by adding fuel to the fire: https://www.silencebreaker.media/owen-smith-you-had-one-job/
Then there were the smears from Corbyn's fellow MPs, cleverly implying he was stirring up "violence" against them, because the broken window pane is, after all, the most valuable argument in modern politics, even if not in the way Emmeline Pankhurst believed: https://www.silencebreaker.media/broken-panes-and-gravy-trains/
Then there were Blairite politicians and party members condemning populism and rallies, including my own MP, Paul Blomfield, who in a documentary interview with me had previously claimed he disliked the "neoliberal trajectory" of the party so backed Ed Miliband (who also later called for Corbyn to go, rejecting the will of the membership): https://www.silencebreaker.media/why-labour-arent-rallying-the-troops/
There was this initial bizarre and desperate media response focusing on Jeremy Corbyn’s lack of commitment to the crown, how he dresses, or his “leadership” qualities as distraction from what really worried them, which was his polices: https://www.silencebreaker.media/jeremy-corbyn-vs-the-british-army/
You perhaps won't be surprised that I'm a believer in direct democracy, and that's partly because - not in spite - of my experiences in the Labour Party. There's plenty of documentation via my project known as The SilenceBreaker...
Longtime punk journalist/documentarian (ex-Indymedia; Freedom News; Organise Magazine, etc) and apparently a "social entrepreneur." Carer for my partner, a #pwME caused by Covid (#MaskUp if you can!)
